GIS Applications (4.0 units)
Course builds upon former coursework and or knowledge of GIS. You will be able to increasingly perform to locate addresses upon a prepared census map (ethnicity, customers, crimes, patients, etc) with limited directions, import CAD drawings and georeference images. Lessons in performing spatial analysis using raster will introduce modeling and challenge your file management and project portability. Also follow field data collection methods creating data dictionary, GPS in the field and download and convert data into GIS. Lesson module also includes introduction to use of drone in civil engineering and sciences, workflow and analysis opportunities (ie remote sensing). Additional material provided for preparing for FAA 107 Drone license exam.
